World Aquarium
Terms of Service
Last updated July 2026
These terms apply to World Aquarium, a shared online aquarium where people can paint fish, release them on a world map, view aquarium scenes, feed fish, save favorites, and share fish cards.
Agreement to These Terms
By using World Aquarium, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Community Guidelines, and any future policies linked from the service. If you do not agree, please do not use World Aquarium.
Using World Aquarium
You are responsible for the fish, messages, names, and other content you create or share. Please use World Aquarium in a playful, respectful way and follow our Community Guidelines.
Accounts
Some features, including releasing fish and saving personal tank progress, require signing in. You are responsible for activity associated with your account. Please keep one personal account, do not share access with people you do not trust, and do not create extra accounts to avoid limits, manipulate feeds/likes, or bypass moderation.
User Content
You keep ownership of artwork and messages you create. By releasing or sharing fish in World Aquarium, you give us permission to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate, promote, and improve the service.
Public Aquarium Content
Released fish may appear on the world map, in aquarium scenes, in profile tanks, and in share previews. If you choose an anonymous release identity, we may hide your public display name, but we may still keep account records needed for safety, moderation, support, and abuse prevention.
Future Paid Features
World Aquarium may later offer optional paid features, such as extra tank slots, cosmetic items, or other digital aquarium upgrades. Paid digital items are a limited license to use that feature inside World Aquarium; they are not property and may be changed, paused, or removed if required for safety, technical, legal, or moderation reasons.
Refunds
World Aquarium does not currently sell paid features. When purchases become available, refund handling will be described in our Refund Policy. Violating these Terms or the Community Guidelines may result in loss of access to paid features without a refund, except where the law requires otherwise.
Rules
- Do not upload or write hateful, harassing, explicit, violent, illegal, or spammy content.
- Do not impersonate others or publish someone else's private information.
- Do not attack, scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or misuse the service.
- Do not upload content that violates someone else's rights.
- Do not use bots, automation, scripts, or multiple accounts to manipulate fish creation, saves, feeds, map activity, or visibility.
- Do not copy substantial parts of the service, map data, fish data, artwork, or interface to build a competing service.
- Do not use World Aquarium content or data to train AI models or commercial datasets without written permission.
Moderation
We may remove content, limit access, or suspend accounts if we believe content or activity harms the aquarium, other users, or the service. We may also rename fish, hide messages, limit features, or remove fish from public areas while reviewing reports.
Reports and Appeals
If you think content or account action was handled incorrectly, contact us with the relevant fish link, account email, and a short explanation. We may not be able to respond to every report while the product is small, but clear reports help us keep the aquarium healthy.
Testing Status
World Aquarium is still evolving. Features may change, break, or be removed while we test and improve the product.
