World Aquarium
Terms of Service
Last updated July 2026
These terms apply to World Aquarium, a shared online aquarium where people can paint fish, release them on a world map, view aquarium scenes, feed fish, save favorites, and share fish cards.
Agreement to These Terms
By using World Aquarium, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Community Guidelines, and any future policies linked from the service. If you do not agree, please do not use World Aquarium.
Using World Aquarium
You are responsible for the fish, messages, names, and other content you create or share. Please use World Aquarium in a playful, respectful way and follow our Community Guidelines.
Eligibility
World Aquarium is intended for a general audience, but it is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not create an account or submit fish, messages, artwork, coordinates, reminders, or other personal information. If you are old enough to use World Aquarium but still a minor where you live, use it only with appropriate permission.
Accounts
Some features, including releasing fish and saving personal tank progress, require signing in. You are responsible for activity associated with your account. Please keep one personal account, do not share access with people you do not trust, and do not create extra accounts to avoid limits, manipulate feeds/likes, or bypass moderation.
User Content
You keep ownership of artwork and messages you create. You are responsible for making sure you own or have permission to use what you release, including fish names, messages, drawings, and profile details. Please do not upload copied characters, logos, lyrics, dialogue, private information, or other content you do not have the right to use.
By releasing or sharing fish in World Aquarium, you give us permission to host, display, reproduce, distribute, moderate, and share that content as needed to operate, promote, protect, and improve the service.
Public Aquarium Content
Released fish may appear on the world map, in aquarium scenes, in profile tanks, and in share previews. If you choose an anonymous release identity, we may hide your public display name, but we may still keep account records needed for safety, moderation, support, and abuse prevention.
Future Paid Features
World Aquarium may later offer optional paid features, such as extra tank slots, cosmetic items, or other digital aquarium upgrades. Paid digital items are a limited license to use that feature inside World Aquarium; they are not property and may be changed, paused, or removed if required for safety, technical, legal, or moderation reasons.
Super Feed and Virtual Items
Super Feed and any future aquarium currency or digital items have no cash value outside World Aquarium. They cannot be sold, transferred, exchanged for money, or redeemed outside the service. We may adjust balances, reverse abusive activity, pause features, or correct technical errors when needed to protect the aquarium and its users.
Fish Reminders
If you set a reminder for your own fish, World Aquarium may send a one-time reminder email to the verified email address on your account. Reminders are not emergency or time-critical services. Delivery can be delayed, fail, or be canceled if the fish or account is removed, hidden, banned, or otherwise unavailable.
Rules
- Do not upload or write hateful, harassing, explicit, violent, illegal, or spammy content.
- Do not impersonate others or publish someone else's private information.
- Do not attack, scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or misuse the service.
- Do not upload content that violates someone else's rights.
- Do not use bots, automation, scripts, or multiple accounts to manipulate fish creation, saves, feeds, map activity, or visibility.
- Do not copy substantial parts of the service, map data, fish data, artwork, or interface to build a competing service.
- Do not use World Aquarium content or data to train AI models or commercial datasets without written permission.
Moderation
We may remove content, limit access, or suspend accounts if we believe content or activity harms the aquarium, other users, or the service. We may also rename fish, hide messages, limit features, or remove fish from public areas while reviewing reports.
If a creator deletes their own fish, the fish is hidden from public and account-facing views immediately. We may keep a private recovery record for a limited time so the creator can ask for restoration, and so we can prevent abuse, investigate disputes, or complete backup and cleanup processes.
Reports and Appeals
If you think content or account action was handled incorrectly, contact us with the relevant fish link, account email, and a short explanation. We may not be able to respond to every report while the product is small, but clear reports help us keep the aquarium healthy.
Testing Status
World Aquarium is still evolving. Features may change, break, or be removed while we test and improve the product.
Service Availability
World Aquarium is provided as-is and may be interrupted, delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. Map visuals, heatmaps, coordinates, reminders, and aquarium activity are for creative discovery and should not be used for emergencies, navigation, safety decisions, or anything that requires guaranteed accuracy.
